The Noosa Community Training Centre Inc. (NCTC) is a not-for-profit, community-based organisation and Registered Training Organisation. For over 30 years they have delivered high quality vocational training in support of their vision: “Skills & training to create a positive future”.

They offer a variety of short hospitality courses such as:

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Provide Responsible Gambling Services (RSG)
  • Food Safety certificate
  • Barista training
  • SIT30616 Certificate III in Hospitality.

BUSY at Work offers employment services to help people into work and career pathways through apprenticeship, employment and education support programs.

They can help with finding a job, keeping a job and everything else you need in-between, including upskilling or refreshing your skills, setting new career goals, and finding out where to start with training and apprenticeships.

The Queensland Tourism Industry Council has a range of workforce development opportunities.

Virtual Career Expo & Careers Roadshow (Try a Trade)

The Queensland Tourism Industry Council's Careers Roadshow includes 13 interactive and educational Come 'N' Try Days as well as Virtual Career Expos. Attendees have the chance to take part in various activities and connect with local businesses looking to hire.

Quality Tourism Framework

The Quality Tourism Framework (QTF) is a national business development program that is suitable for tourism businesses of all shapes and sizes. It provides businesses with the necessary tools and resources to ensure best practice management, customer confidence and ongoing sustainability.

QTIC Micro-Credentialing Program

The micro-credentialing program offers alternative current skilling solutions that provide direct benefit to tourism and hospitality businesses, and their workforce. The program provides focused training in specific skills to better support employees and businesses to adopt innovations and improved productivity. There are several courses in sectors including accommodation, attractions, events, food & drink, and tours.

QTIC Registered Trade Skills Pathway

The Registered Trade Skills Program (RTSP) is a non-traditional apprenticeship model, designed to offer casual cooks currently working in the industry the opportunity to gain the professional trade qualification, SIT30816 Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. Participants who successfully complete the qualification in full, receive $1,100 incentive.
